This book aims to establish the reasons that caused UAE placed 22nd on the International Property Index (IPRI), a ranking that was deemed unsuitable for a country that had worked its way to progress, a country that has been a pioneer in many aspects at the international level The UAE is in no need for a drastic improvement when it deals with protecting property rights; in fact this paper has proven that shortly the country will rise in the standards of protecting property rights. Where the undertaking of the UAE to protect property rights is highly noticeable, and has progressed significantly is the recent years. Increasing the amount of efforts of awareness in the country is a beneficial to raise the ethical matter of intellectual property rights. The IPRI solely considers a country’s involvement to international laws and standards. However, international standards should not disregard a nation’s legislation; Emirates has been a good example to have proven good outcomes based on their legislations, cultural and religious ethos.
